We remember God.
Creativity becomes worship when the gift returns to the Giver.
Peaceful People Retreats
All are welcome here. Peaceful People Retreats creates space in nature for stillness, spontaneity, curiosity, loving community, joyful play, and the freedom to remember that you are worthy to create.
Our mission
Peaceful People Retreats facilitates space in nature where time, freedom, curiosity, openness, loving community, and joyful play can help people experience the fullness of God’s peace. We believe the Spirit still creates through willing, open hearts, and that creativity can become a pathway back to God, back to ourselves, and back to one another.
Why create?
“Let there be light” was not merely the beginning of a story. It was the opening of an infinite unfolding. God creates, and we are made in His image. Set deep within us is a longing to shape, name, build, sing, paint, gather, plant, write, cook, restore, and bring beauty into being.
Creating is not about proving we are talented. It is about returning to who we are. When we create from peace, fear loses its grip and identity has room to breathe.
When we stop creating
Our culture is quick to tell us we do not need to create. We are too busy. Too tired. Too uninspired. Someone else has already made it, said it, sung it, painted it, packaged it, and put it on a shelf.
Then the quieter lies arrive: you are not good enough, someone else could do it better, what if people think it is foolish, what if it is not beautiful, what if it has all been done before?
And when there are not enough hours in the day, we reach for a screen and scroll through what someone else created. We may be entertained for a moment, but often we leave more restless, more tired, and less connected than before.
What creating does
A creative state helps the mind settle and the body return to the present moment. It opens space for trust, delight, courage, worship, healing, and connection. One creative moment often leads to another, and inspiration begins to feel possible again.
Creativity becomes worship when the gift returns to the Giver.
The noise quiets, the striving softens, and identity comes forward.
Shared creation builds friendship, courage, and a community of belonging.
To create is to
Maybe someone needs to see you go first. Maybe your courage to create becomes the invitation they need to believe they are worthy to create too.
Create retreat
We are setting aside judgment and making room to be free, to play, to connect, to be inspired, and to inspire. The Holy Spirit is present and ready to remind us of our purpose in creation.
